Dear Shaw University Community,

As you know, our university has begun the process of exploring possibilities for reimagining The ShawU District on campus. We have taken the first step with the City of Raleigh by submitting a Rezoning Request and now we have the support of the City of Raleigh Planning Commission.

With a vote of support and approval from the City Council, the next steps allow our ShawU leaders and the campus planning committee to solicit further input from students, alumni, and community partners on what the needs and priorities are for The ShawU District. Then, we move to the next step of developing a Campus Master Plan for The ShawU District - Pathway to Possibilities.

We’re asking for your support as we move forward with this exploratory process to envision what is possible for the long-term benefit of our campus community.
